   Memory

            I used to have a memory,
            and no one could dispute it,
            Whatever question it was asked
            Would instantly compute it.
            The answer would beam up right away
            On that screen at the back of my head
            And none could ever contradict
            The correctness of what it said.

            I used to have a memory
            And no one can rebut it;
            But the awful trouble now, you see -
            I can't remember where I put it.
